Services Provided
The Highway Department is responsible for maintenance of 48.65 miles of town roads. Maintenance activities include:
- Answering concerns and questions promptly
- Culvert pipes and roadside drainage
- Road signs, posts and guide rails
- Mowing of roadsides
- Maintenance of trees and brush in right of ways
- Road striping
- Sweeping roads and intersections
- Patching potholes
- Crack sealing
- Hot and cold patching
- Plowing and salting
- Temporary road signage – ex. road closed, road work, road flooding
- Maintenance of Highway vehicles and equipment
- Maintenance of Highway buildings and grounds
- Maintenance of Park buildings, grounds and equipment
- Maintenance Landfill buildings & grounds
