The Town of Batavia Highway Department is responsible for
maintenance of 47 miles of town roads.
The Maintenance activities include:
- Answering concerns and quesitons promptly
- Culvert pipes and roadside drainage
- Road signs, posts and guide rails
- Mowing of roadsides
- Maintenance of trees and brush in right of ways
- Road striping
- Sweeping roads and intersections
- Patching potholes
- Crack sealing
- Hot and cold patching
- Plowing and salting
- Temporary road signage - ex. road closed, road work, road flooding
- Maintenance of Highway vehicles and equipment
- Maintenance of Highway buildings and grounds
- Maintenance of Park buildings, grounds and equipment
- Maintenance of Transfer Station & Landfill buildings & grounds
